CALEN


Indications

Calen is indicated in the following cases:

  1. As delay dressing
    • Biopulpectomy.
    • Necropulpectomy.
    • Excessive exudate.
    • Internal and external reabsorption.
    • In the prevention of the cervical external reabsorptions, after the bleaching technique.
    • Postoperative pain.
  2. As expectant dressing
    • In the tooth treatment with incomplete root formation.
    • Breakings radiculares
    • Perforations
    • Persistent fistulas
    • Refractory periapical injuries to the conventional treatment.

Some advantages of Calen

 

  • The radiopacity of Calen helps in the diagnosis
  • The vehicle of Calen keeps the calcium hydroxide for more time in the desired area.
  • It bactericidal, due to pH around 12,4.
  • Calen stimulates the deposition by mineralized, fissue producing in most of the cases complete apical sealiny.
  • Calen has, still, anti-exsudative, hemostatic action and neutralizes the acid products.
  • It is water soluble, its removal is made by the simple irrigation of the canal, with solution indicated for each case.
Is easy to work with the Calen
  • Of creamy consistency, Calen is ready to immediate clinical use. The Endodontal Syringe ML, with twistable piston, was conceived for this purpose.
  • Calen is packed in plastic cartridges , is very practical, therefore is not necessary the use of spatulas, blocks etc.
